FuelMyBlog! A “view from my window” photo contest

It’s kinda late. I should have submitted this image a few weeks back, but I got some memory lapses. I was just reminded by an email from FuelMyBlog that today’s the deadline for the competition.

Here’s what I submitted for the “View from my window” contest of FuelMyBlog. If you liked it, please fuel it (daily) by clicking on the fuel it link or the image below and the fuelmyblog logo on my sidebar.

The view was taken from the window of the house of my husband’s grandmother in Marikina, Philippines as we were celebrating New Year’s Day. I took this picture as it symbolized what I was feeling then, I was happy because it was the start of the year which meant new life for me or a new beginning, and sad as well because I celebrated new year away from my family.

The colors and the fogs mixed well just like my mixed emotions. Nevertheless, this view gave me a welcoming feeling for the year 2007 as it reminded me this quote, “With each sunrise, we start anew”…

Help me win, please. I want that camera not for myself, but I would give that as a special gift for my mom on Mother’s Day. Thanks for your vote!

i can’t imagine myself being away with my family kapag new year… and i mean my loved ones. i actually don’t spend it with “close family members” only a few lang… and those few made me feel so loved… :)
