Summer’s Over, Quotes, and Month-Ender Tag

May 31, 2007

It’s an exhilariting yet tiring summer because of too much heat, too much wasted time, and anxieties over a few things regarding work, travel, and academic thingy.

Yay! I’m not complaining though. Still, I’d want to say that it’s a summer full of twists and turns.

Goodbye summer, hello rainy season! It’s a minute before May ends, and I’m writing my last post for this month.

I’d like to leave some favorite quotes here to remind myself and my online friends that there is still tomorrow, that life is good no matter what…

QUOTE1

“Nobody can go back to start a new beginning,
but anyone can start today
to make a new ending.”

~ Maria Robinson

QUOTE2

“..In life,
we always search for answers
because we want to prove to ourselves
that we had the right decisions,
but the truth is,
we can’t search for what’s not there.
Things happen because
they were meant to happen
That’s why we forgive people
even if they hurt us,
we love people who don’t love us,
and we smile despite
every painful crash in our hearts.
At the end of the day,
the lessons we get
are the answers to our decisions.”

***

QUOTE3

“In life,
there are four things
you can’t ever get back:
the stone, after the throw
the word, after it’s said
the action, after it’s done,
the time, after it has passed…
so, be careful of
what you throw,
of what you speak,
of what you do, and
of what you let pass by.”

***

QUOTE4

“Control…
Control is the cake
we’d all like to have a slice of
because more often than not
with control comes power.
Control over serious stuff like work,
or control over mundane things like
what time we have to wake up
or how fast we drive.
More importantly,
we want to have control of our lives
because if we are in control,
we’d know what to expect,
what not to expect,
and how we’d direct things.
But,
the thing is,
no matter how hard we think
we are in control,
we’re not.
There’s always Someone above us
hence, the surprises and
unexpected crises in life.
We need to accept and acknowledge
that there is a Divine Being
who has Divine Power
and He knows what’s best for us.
That memo from your boss,
that low exam mark,
that flat tire,
that failed romance –
they’re all there for a reason..
for us to learn what life
has been trying to teach us,
for us to gain strength,
for us to realize our capabilities.
Remember that
whatever the reason,
it’s always for our own good.
So live in the moment.
Cry for the hurt and pain we’re feeling,
but don’t be stagnant.
Let go of emotional rubbish,
and then celebrate life.”

Goodnight everyone!

Oh, before I sleep, I’d like to do the tag assigned by kev12. Here it goes…

Paalam, summer!~

Naging bigbang nga ang salubong ng tag-ulan rito. Malakas lang naman ang ulan. Lumutang lang naman ang bahay namin at literal akong lumangoy pauwi.

Pero na-survive ko naman. Sabi mo nga, there’s still tomorrow. :D

Nga pala po, paki-update po ang aking bagong web address.

Thanks thanks!~ :D

[…] Fingertalks says Goodbye to the Summer and says Hello to the Rainy Days with her month ender post, Summer’s Over, Quotes, and Month-Ender Tag. A few poems were quoted plus a Tag scheme, much like the one I did on the Alexa Redirect […]

Got here from Keysi’s latest entry :) It was an almost vacation-less summer for me, but it was still fun. It’s summer anyway, and summer is always the best season, on principle alone.

I’m taggeed!? Summer’s so fun though, sometimes, it’s boring. Haiz. I love the quotes: inspiring, yet argumentative (?). Buhbye summer, welcome rainy days! ;]

for a sun worshipper like me, it’s hard to say goodbye to summer, but the rainy season is not really boring, at least during these months, white water rafting can be done. hehe.
