Life is a game of inches

From the video:

“Life is a game of inches. So is football. In either game the margin of error is small. One half a step too late or too early and you don’t quite make it.

But the inches we need are everywhere around us. In every minute of our lives, we have to go for every inch. Because we know that when we add up those inches, that will make the difference between winning and losing…”

My dear friends and readers, I’ll be away for a month or two. I’m leaving here a very inspiring video for you to watch while my fingers are away.

“Life is a game of inches.” I’m fighting for “that” inch.

I will be back.

    Hi Fingertalks,
So you’re off again. So be it. I don’t think that life is a life of inches. That’s where people go wrong. Life is but two choices- to do our own will or to do the will of God, to seek our own glory or to do everything for the glory of God, to seek our own path in life or to entrust our life to God. You see, we are like sheep and sheep needs a Shepherd. But as sheep, we go our own separate ways, so we flounder and fail and then we blame God for our failures. Psalm 23 summarizes all that we are in the sight of God. If we can accomplish the 23rd Psalm in our life, we don’t have anything to worry about.

    Psalm 23

    “The Lord is my Shepherd
    I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me besides quiet waters.
    He restores my soul.
He guides my towards paths of righteousness
    for His name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the
shadow of death I will fear no evil
    For you are with me.
Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence
    of my enemies
You anoint my head with oil
    my cup runs over.
    Surely goodness and love shall
follow me all the days of my life
And I will dwell in the house of the
    Lord forever.

You see, we are like an invention trying to tell the inventor what to do. We are creatures and we cannot tell our Creator what to do. He knows what to do but we don’t know what to do because we refuse to know and discern His words. God created man in His own image and likeness but as it is, man is creating God in his own image and when things go wrong, he blames everything to God. As Christians, are we not suppose to follow Christ? We can live in this world but not of this world. The Bible says. “Seek you first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33). Have we sought His kingdom and His righteousness before asking Him for anything else? Just food for thoughts my precious friend. God bless you and your family. Have a wonderful and peaceful day always.

This statement is so true, we have to give everything in life 110%. Everything in life counts even the small things.

One question, where did you get this song on your site. I kind of like it, its very peaceful.
